A reason

A three-step plan. It works in any city — with or without an activity on the map.

  1. Each of you picks a song from childhood, one for the road and one for a good day.

  2. Take turns playing your tracks on whatever service suits you, and tell their stories.

  3. Find one song you’d both like to keep on a shared playlist.

First line

So the chat doesn’t stop at “hi”.

To one person

Shall we swap three songs with stories? I’m more curious about your playlist than about the perfect answer to “how are you”.

When

Up to three options make it easier to choose. Times are local to the place you meet.

Option 1
0 of 60

A place or a neighbourhood. A home address doesn’t belong in the link. Meeting online? Say where you’ll call, and send the call link separately.

Meet safely

For this idea

A song with a story can turn out to be a sad one. Telling the story is optional; just listening is fine too.

Before any meeting

  • Meet somewhere public the first time — and in daylight, if that feels calmer.
  • Plan your own way there and back. There is no need to share your home address.
  • Let someone close know where you will be and who with: send them the plan.

Talk

Three questions from the “Honestly?” deck. Any of them can be skipped.

  1. Which song can you never sit still through?

  2. Which journey stayed with you longer than the place it led to?

  3. Which of your interests do people rarely ask about — though they should?

AbsoLive is a map of activities, events and places of the Absolute community.

The map keeps growing. If nothing is nearby yet, the plan above works without it.
