Privacy: what is kept and where
In short
No accounts, analytics, cookies or storage on a server. Nothing you type or mark is sent to our server. The link is kept by the messenger you send it with.
What sits in this browser
Entries appear only after you do something — press a button or open a link. Each one is shown here; delete them one by one or all at once.
| What | Where | When it appears | How to erase it | In this browser now |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Saved ideas ♡abso.love.saved | This browser | When you press ♡ on an idea or move ideas over with a link | ♡ again, “Delete” here or “Delete everything” | |
Your “I am 18 or older” answerabso.love.adult | This browser | When you press “I am 18 or older” before a game or before messages on AbsoLive | “Clear my answer” in Mine, “Delete” here or “Delete everything” | |
Saved meetingsabso.love.plans | This browser | When you save a meeting or mark one as agreed | Old ones go by themselves after 30 days; “Delete” in Mine or here; “Delete everything” | |
Date of the install tipabso.love.hint | This browser | When the site offers to put AbsoLove on your home screen — at most once in 30 days | “Delete” here or “Delete everything” | |
Setting: “offline copy switched off”abso.love.sw-off | This browser | When you press “Delete the offline copy” (or open the site with ?sw=0) | “Bring offline mode back”. “Delete everything” leaves this setting, or the offline copy would quietly switch itself back on | |
An opened invitation or a “Where shall we go?” moveabso.love.inbox | This tab | When you open an invitation link or a “Where shall we go?” move | Closing the tab, “Delete” here or “Delete everything” | |
| Offline copy of the site | Browser cache | After the site is first opened: the browser keeps its pages and files to work without a connection. Nothing of yours is in it — addresses are kept without the part after # | The “Delete the offline copy” button below |
One more entry may be left from the first version of the site: an 18+ confirmation in a tab where that version was open. This site neither reads nor writes it; closing the tab or “Delete everything” erases it.
What is in the links
An invitation holds the idea, the format, the time options, the place and the “+1” mark. “Where shall we go?” holds the marks for 12 ideas. A link to move ideas to another device holds only the saved ideas. Names, phone numbers, your own words and answers from the decks are never in a link.
The browser does not send the part after # to the server, but the messenger keeps the message along with the link, and the browser may remember the full address in its history. Do not send a link where it should not be seen, and do not shorten it.
An opened invitation lives in this tab’s memory (sessionStorage) so a reload does not lose it. Closing the tab erases it.
What the server sees
The server hands out the pages and files of the site. Our container does not write request logs. There are no analytics, counters, cookies, third-party fonts or scripts.
How suggestions work
The order of ideas is fixed. You choose the filters; the site does not learn from what you do. In “A match?” ideas are picked by one simple rule: the mood of the answers that matched. In “Where shall we go?” you only see what you both marked.
Delete everything in this browser
Saved ideas, meetings, your 18+ confirmation, the install tip date and an opened invitation — with one button. They cannot be brought back.
The offline copy is deleted separately: it is the site’s files, not your data.
Offline copy of the site
So the catalogue, the games and Mine open without a connection, the browser keeps a copy of the site’s pages and files. Without it the site works from the network only.
