Clean-up

A clean-up, then coffee

Gloves, bin bags and a couple of hours outdoors. The result shows right away, and the coffee after is well earned.

A reason

A three-step plan. It works in any city — with or without an activity on the map.

  1. Find a park or riverbank clean-up run by local volunteers, or start your own. Bring gloves, bags and water.

  2. Work in pairs: one holds the bag, the other searches. Hold a contest for the strangest find.

  3. Then coffee with the whole crew. Photos of the clean spot only with the consent of everyone in the frame.

If you come on your own

A clean-up gives you a shared job from minute one: conversation starts with “where does this go?”

First line

So the chat doesn’t stop at “hi”.

To one person

Up for a clean-up in the park? Coffee afterwards is on me, plus a fair contest for the strangest find.

To a group chat

Putting together a crew for a park clean-up. Gloves and bags sorted, coffee afterwards is on me. Who’s in?

Invite

An invitation link: they pick a time and answer in a couple of taps.

Format
When

Up to three options make it easier to choose. Times are local to the place you meet.

Option 1
0 of 60

A place or a neighbourhood. A home address doesn’t belong in the link.

Everyone may bring along one person they know.

Meet safely

For this idea

Always work in gloves. Don’t pick up glass, needles or anything sharp by hand; point it out to the organiser.

Before any meeting

  • Meet somewhere public the first time — and in daylight, if that feels calmer.
  • Plan your own way there and back. There is no need to share your home address.
  • Let someone close know where you will be and who with: send them the plan.

If you go as a group

  • A table of six becomes a work crew: split the area into patches and meet back at one spot an hour later.
  • Agree in advance how everyone is getting home — especially if the evening ends late.

Talk

Three questions from the “Honestly?” deck. Any of them can be skipped.

  1. Where in your city is it good just to be?

  2. What weekend tradition do you already have — or are about to start?

  3. How do you like to celebrate small shared wins?
