For two, Two plus two
Book club
One book, a few cups of tea and an argument about the ending in which everyone is right.
A three-step plan. It works in any city — with or without an activity on the map.
Pick a short book or story and give yourselves two or three weeks to read. For the first time, a quiet café or a library.
Bring one quote that caught you and one question for the author. Start with the quotes — the conversation will pick up from there.
At the end, everyone suggests a book for next time: draw lots, or simply agree on a new meeting.
At a book club everyone arrives with the same book, so there is something to talk about even among strangers.
So the chat doesn’t stop at “hi”.
Shall we read the same book and talk about it over tea? A short one, I promise. Maybe even one with pictures.
Starting a book club for one evening: a short book, tea and an argument about the ending. Who’s reading with us? Finishing is optional, coming is encouraged.
An invitation link: they pick a time and answer in a couple of taps.
The reply comes to you as a message — the site never sees it.
For this idea
Argue about the book, not the people: disagreeing about the ending is no reason to get personal. Haven’t finished the book? Come anyway.
Three questions from the “Honestly?” deck. Any of them can be skipped.
What recently made you say a heartfelt “wow”?
Which ordinary object in your home has a story?
Which of your interests do people rarely ask about — though they should?
The next reason to meet, in a different mood.

The map keeps growing. If nothing is nearby yet, the plan above works without it.
