A reason

A three-step plan. It works in any city — with or without an activity on the map.

  1. Bring a disc and water, and find an open space where throwing is allowed, away from passers-by.

  2. Start with short throws. The goal is an easy pass to each other.

  3. Take a break after ten good passes: a short walk is part of the plan too.

If you come on your own

At pickup games teams are split on the spot, and players settle disputed calls themselves — no referees. No need for a crowd of your own.

First line

So the chat doesn’t stop at “hi”.

To one person

Fancy throwing a frisbee in the park? The plan is simple: catch the disc, the moment and, now and then, my balance.

To a group chat

Who’s up for frisbee in the park this weekend? I’ll bring the disc and explain the rules in a minute. Skill optional, good mood essential.

Format
When

Up to three options make it easier to choose. Times are local to the place you meet.

Option 1
0 of 60

A place or a neighbourhood. A home address doesn’t belong in the link.

Meet safely

For this idea

Don’t run backwards after the disc, and watch your step: parks are full of holes and roots. In the sun, bring a cap and water.

Before any meeting

  • Meet somewhere public the first time — and in daylight, if that feels calmer.
  • Plan your own way there and back. There is no need to share your home address.
  • Let someone close know where you will be and who with: send them the plan.

If you go as a group

  • In a group, throw around a circle and call out the name of whoever you throw to: names stick without any effort.
  • Agree in advance how everyone is getting home — especially if the evening ends late.

Talk

Three questions from the “Honestly?” deck. Any of them can be skipped.

  1. What does your perfect free hour look like?

  2. Where in your city is it good just to be?

  3. Which simple pleasure needs no improving at all?
